How Points Are Calculated

We want to be fully transparent about how your points are earned and applied so there are never any surprises at the register.

Rewards Members earn 1 point for every $1 spent. The Cash Discount that accumulates is 5% of the total number of points.

Blackbird calculates points on pre-tax, non-discounted amounts; tips, taxes, and gift card purchases don't earn points. Rewards apply as a cash discount, and guests generally redeem all available points up to the balance due on the check.

Questions

Frequently Asked

Do my points expire?›
Points remain active as long as your account has activity within a 12-month period. Accounts with no qualifying purchases for 12 consecutive months may have their points reset.
Can I use my points on any drink?›
Yes — rewards apply as a cash discount toward any eligible purchase on your check. The discount is applied automatically up to the full balance due.
Can I earn points when paying with a gift card?›
You can earn points on the amount applied from a gift card toward a qualifying purchase. However, the purchase of a gift card itself does not earn points.
Can I transfer my points to someone else?›
Points are tied to the individual account and are not transferable. Gift cards are a great way to share the Blackbird experience with friends and family.
How do I check my point balance?›
Sign into your Blackbird account anytime to view your current balance, recent transactions, and available rewards.
Can I earn points on Happy Hour purchases?›
Yes — Happy Hour drinks qualify for points. Points are calculated on the non-discounted price of the item, not the discounted Happy Hour price.
